Since 2021, Kilimo Marathon has been held in Morogoro region every year up to the fourth edition in 2024, under one theme: transforming youth mindset in agriculture.
2024Fourth edition
The fourth edition combined 5, 10 and 21 km runs, a trail run and 60 km cycling with an agriculture exhibition, other sports on the ground, agri-tourism and an awards ceremony. Participants received a T-shirt, a medal and a BIB number.

2023Third edition · Gairo
The third edition moved to Gairo, a district of Morogoro region. Young and old, including mothers in their kitenge, ran the 5 km and 21 km on dusty roads, and the finishers received medals and farm-input prizes on stage.
2022Second edition · Morogoro
In Morogoro town, beneath the Uluguru mountains: traditional dance troupes from the region's districts (Malinyi, Kilosa, Gairo, Mvomero, Morogoro Rural) ran with the field, teams celebrated their medals, and the finish line filled with joy.
2021First edition · Morogoro
The first Kilimo Marathon started at dawn beneath the Uluguru mountains: a group warm-up, a run along tree-lined roads, and a finish under the Kilimo Marathon & Expo arch. EFM Jogging Club was among those taking part.
