Kilimo Marathon, Award & Expo (KMAE) is organised by Shambadunia Limited, Morogoro, Tanzania ("we"). This policy explains what we collect through this website, why, and your rights.

What we collect

• Race registration: name, phone number, email (optional), the distance you chose and the payment status.
• Booth applications: company name, contact person, phone, email, region and a description of products.
• Messages and partner enquiries: organisation, name, phone or email, and your message.

We do not set advertising or tracking cookies on this website. If you pay by card, your browser briefly keeps (up to 2 days) a note of the registration awaiting payment so we can show your ticket when you return; it is removed once payment is confirmed.

Why we use it

• To register you, issue your ticket (KH-XXXXXX) and check you in.
• To send you essential event information such as the venue, routes and where to collect your T-shirt and BIB.
• To answer booth, sponsorship and general enquiries.

Payments

Registration and payments run through the Kilimo Heroes system (kilimoheroes.shamba.africa), part of the Shambafrica family. Mobile money and card payments are processed by Flutterwave, a licensed payment provider. We never see or store your card number or PIN; we only receive whether the payment succeeded, the amount and a transaction reference.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the event (the registration system, the payment provider and SMS/WhatsApp messaging), and with authorities where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep registration and payment records for as long as needed to run the event and meet legal and accounting obligations, then delete or anonymise them.

Your rights and deletion

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time. Write to marketing@kilimomarathon.co.tz or call +255 754 222 800, giving your name, the phone number you registered with and your ticket code if you have one. We will act on your request within 30 days. Payment records we are legally required to keep will remain until that period ends.
