World Food Day · 16 October

On 16 October the whole world marks World Food Day. In Morogoro, Tanzania's food basket, we mark it on foot: young people run, farmers show their work, and a new generation sees that farming is not a punishment. It is a job, a business and a source of pride.

Why we run

Farming is
young people's work.

Our aim is to change young people's negative view of agribusiness, show them the opportunities that exist, and encourage them to see farming as a real career path.

  • Awareness: the many opportunities in agriculture.
  • Mindset: a positive attitude to farming among young people.
  • Innovation: new technology and methods on the farm.
  • Market: showcasing Tanzania's farm products and services.
