We are planning safe routes in Morogoro for every distance. Maps and start times will be published here and on our social media.
The basics
So that everyone finishes safely
- Wear your BIB on the front, visible at all times.
- Run only the distance you registered for; one BIB, one person.
- Follow the marshals and the route markings.
- Cyclists: a helmet is required and your bike must be roadworthy.
- If you have a health condition, check with a doctor before taking part.
- Keep the route clean: drop rubbish at water stations and bins.

How do I register?
Fill in the form on the registration page, choose your distance and pay by mobile money or card. Once payment is confirmed you get a ticket code (KH-XXXXXX) and a QR.
How much is it and what is included?
Entry starts from TZS 35,000 per distance and includes a T-shirt, a medal and a BIB number.
How can I pay?
Three ways: Lipa Namba 5057285 (Mixx by Yas, formerly Tigo Pesa; name: Kilimo Marathon_Awards and Expo), where you pay, enter the transaction ID from the SMS and our team confirms your ticket; mobile money (M-Pesa, Mixx by Yas, Airtel Money, HaloPesa) via a payment prompt on your phone; or a Visa or Mastercard card.
Where and when is it?
Saturday 16 October 2027, World Food Day, in Morogoro. The exact venue and start times will be announced here and on our social media.
Who can take part?
The race is open to professional athletes, everyday runners, communities and company teams. Our message is aimed above all at young people aged 18 to 40.
Where do I collect my T-shirt, medal and BIB?
The pick-up place and dates will be announced before the event. You will show your ticket code or QR.
Can I get a refund if I cannot come?
Yes: you get a full refund if you ask within 14 days of paying and at least 14 days before the event. See the refund policy for details.
Do I need the app?
No. Your ticket code and QR are enough. The Kilimo Heroes app keeps your tickets and other farming events in one place, if you like.
